Renowned artist Burna Boy has addressed criticism over his reaction to a fan who climbed on stage during his recent performance.
The incident occurred during a free concert in Lagos, where Burna Boy delivered an electrifying show that lasted much longer than the originally planned 10 minutes.
During the event, a fan unexpectedly climbed onto the stage, prompting Burna Boy to respond aggressively, as seen in a viral video where he appeared to step on the individual.
In response to the backlash, Burna Boy shared his side of the story in a recent post. He clarified that his reaction was influenced by being startled and his experience with PTSD.
“It was a free show. I was only supposed to perform for 10 minutes but ended up doing almost an hour. Everyone knows my rule about being startled on stage. Please don’t jump on stage like that—it triggers my PTSD. I had an amazing time with Lagos last night. Happy New Year, and I love you all,” he explained.
