At least 22 people have been killed in  fresh sectarian clashes in north central Nigeria, the military said on Friday.

Violence flared after the discovery of a corpse of a missing person in Wadata, Wase local government area of Plateau state, North Central Nigeria, local residents said.

Fighting broke out between the Fulani and Tarok speaking ethnic groups after the decomposed corpse was found which led to reprisals that claimed 21 persons.
