Mayorkun, a Nigerian artist, is suing a TikTok influencer, Nicki DaBarbie, for N1 billion over accusations of defamation and involvement in ritualistic activities. Nicki claimed that Mayorkun and Skiibii were trying to involve her in occult rituals. In response, Mayorkun sent a letter to Nicki, asking her to stop making derogatory comments about him and denying all allegations. Mayorkun also demanded that Nicki remove all offensive content from her social media accounts within 24 hours. Additionally, Mayorkun required Nicki to pay N1 billion in damages for causing emotional distress, lost endorsements, and legal fees, as well as to issue a formal apology to him on the same platforms. Finally, Nicki disclosed that she was threatened with a lawsuit if she talked about the matter publicly.
