A music critic is advising the acclaimed Afrobeat superstar, Wizkid, to consider stepping away from the music scene while he still enjoys a respectable reputation. This suggestion comes just hours after the release of his latest EP, S2.
Wizkid, a Grammy-winning artist, took to the microblogging platform, X, to announce the drop of his EP, which comprises four tracks featuring collaborations with Zlatan Ibile and Wande Coal on two of them.
Despite the artist’s announcement, global music critics quickly shared their opinions on the album. While some praised Wizkid for maintaining his musical prowess, others criticized him for delivering what they deemed another ‘flop.’
Expressing a strong opinion on the matter, a user with the handle @DhreyFccb labeled the S2 EP as subpar and urged Wizkid to consider quitting music rather than imposing his songs on the audience.
“Dear Wizkid, this is a friendly advice from a concerned citizen, your music is wack, I think you should stop forcing it on us, just quit and start a full time job as a banger boy. Love, Dhrey,” he wrote.
