Famous actor and former wrestler, Dwayne Johnson, popularly known as The Rock, has revealed that he will not be endorsing Joe Biden for a second term in office. In a recent interview with Fox News, the actor, who supported Biden in the 2020 election, announced his decision, stating that he would not be backing him again in 2024. Despite not being happy with the current state of America, The Rock believes that things can improve. When asked if he would support Biden again in the upcoming election, The Rock said he would not. The actor noted that he made the endorsement years ago because he thought it was the best decision for him at the time. He also stated that he believes in the American people and whoever they decide to vote for will be his president, and he will support them fully. Despite wanting to unite the country, The Rock said he will keep his political views private.
He said …
“Am I going to do that again this year? That answer’s no. I realise now going into this election, I will not do that. Am I happy with the state of America right now? Well, that answer’s no. Do I believe we’re gonna get better? I believe in that – I’m an optimistic guy. And I believe we can do better.
“The endorsement that I made years ago with Biden was what I thought was the best decision for me at that time. I thought back then, when we talked about, ‘Hey, you know, I’m in this position where I have some influence,’ and it was my job then to exercise my influence and share who I’m going to endorse.”
Johnson quickly added that he will keep his political views to himself, even if he stated that his goal is to unite the United States of America.
“It is between me and the ballot box, like a lot of us out there, not trusting of all politicians, I do trust the American people and whoever they vote for, that is my president and who I will support 100 per cent,’ he added.
