At least one female police officer has been killed while others have been declared missing, after some Boko Haram members ambushed their convoy traveling for a Funeral at Lassa village, which is 10 km away from Maiduguri, the state capital. 


The female police officers were on their way to attend the Funeral of their colleague who was killed during an attack at the University of Maiduguri UNIMAID.
According to reports, 11 female police officers have been declared missing following the attack.Confirming the attack, the spokesperson to the Nigerian police force, Jimoh Moshood, said there is only one police personnel that went missing and that efforts are ongoing to rescue the personnel.
