Bishop David Oyedepo, the founder of Living Faith Church Worldwide (LFC), has firmly dismissed any possibility of entering partisan politics, stating that no financial inducement could sway him from his divine mandate.
Speaking at the recently concluded Shiloh 2025 convention at Faith Tabernacle in Ota, Ogun State, the cleric made it clear that political office is not in his future.
“It’s Off My Course”
Addressing the congregation during the impartation service, Oyedepo emphasized that his assignment is strictly spiritual.
He declared:
“Partisan politics is off my calling. If you give me $1 billion to join politics, I won’t, because it’s off my course.”
He advised church members to stay true to their own God-given paths, noting that true authority comes from operating within one’s specific calling.
Prophetic Warnings and Promises
Reflecting on the global state of affairs, Oyedepo observed that society is in deep distress, stating that:
“the world is groaning in darkness”
However, he predicted the rise of a new generation of believers who would solve national problems, likening them to biblical figures.
He added:
“The army of God is about to emerge to proffer solutions to national crises in the order of Joseph and Daniel. It is the day of what eyes have not seen or ears heard,”
Governor Oborevwori Spotted as Usher
The event also generated social media buzz when Delta State Governor Sheriff Oborevwori was seen performing ushering duties. Images of the governor assisting worshippers went viral, sparking conversations particularly because of his recent high-profile defect to the All Progressives Congress (APC).
Conclusion of Shiloh 2025
The convention, themed “Breaking New Grounds,” ran from December 9 to December 12. It was attended by notable spiritual leaders including Pastor Paul Enenche and Pastor David Ibiyeomie, as well as Oyedepo’s sons, David Jr. and Isaac.
