Taylor Swift has been hard at work promoting her brand new album 1989 for weeks and as the October 27 release date gets closer, the singer has now posted the entire track list on Instagram. How exciting!
Taylor’s album is released on Monday and she’s literally been posting lyrics from the LP every day up until the big day, with her taking to Instagram last night to share an image revealing all 13 song titles, alongside the caption: “The full track list. #TS1989.” Tracks include her number one single Shake It Off, as well as other songs that we’re not so familiar with, including Bad Blood, I Wish You Would and Wildest Dreams. Lyrics aside, Taylor has also revealed album track Out Of The Woods ahead of the release, as well as her next single Welcome To New York. She also previewed album track Style – wonder who that one’s about?
A lot of hype has been surrounding Taylor’s latest release, with her previously claiming that she’d taken a “different” approach to this album, with it definitely being more poppy. Despite four tracks rumoured to be about the singer’s previous romance with Harry Styles, the song that she recently revealed as her second official single Welcome To New York, is actually about her big move from LA to the Big Apple.
Sharing her thoughts about the tribute to her favourite city, Taylor said in a statement: “I started the album with ‘Welcome To New York’ because New York has been an important landscape and location for the story of my life in the last couple of years.
“It’s like an electric city, and I approached moving there with such wide-eyed optimism. I saw New York as a place of endless potential and possibilities and you can hear that reflected in this music and in this song.”
