Remy Ma who was arrested for assaulting Brittney Taylor, had before now been diligently rebranding herself as a paragon of sensibility and second chances since getting out of prison after serving six years for shooting a former friend in 2007.
She, along with husband, Papoose, joined the cast of Love & Hip-Hop and heralded “Black Love,” celebrating stable, loving relationships. They chronicled their struggles with fertility and the ultimate birth of their daughter, and even helmed a Christmas special for VH1: Remy & Papoose: A Merry Mackie Holiday.
