Unlike what you would hear from most women, Nollywood star, Ayo Adesanya says motherhood has had no effect on her.
When asked during a recent interview with Punch on how motherhood changed her fashion style, she replied:
‘I don’t think it has in any way. For me, I use fashion to express the kind of person that I am. I wear things according to the way I feel and how I want to be seen at a particular time and that is how I dress. Motherhood has not affected me in any way and even if I wanted it to, my work would not allow that. The kind of job I do is showbiz and fashion goes with it. I must be at the top of my game all the time. Motherhood has not affected me one bit.’
Mother of a 10-year-old son, Ms Adesanya also denied speculations that she has been patronising bleaching creams.
‘I have sun burns and it is not a hidden thing. I have tried a lot of things to make it fade away but it has refused and I have come to terms with it. I would never bleach my skin, a lot of people get confused about it but I don’t get bothered. I don’t owe anybody an explanation but when you meet me in person, you can always make up your mind,’ she said.
A graduate of Communication Arts from the University of Ibadan, Ayo Adesanya hit limelight after starring in Tunji Bamishigbin‘s TV series, Palace several years ago.
