Super Eagles top goalkeeper, Vincent Enyeama will again be between the sticks tomorrow for Lille who will be targeting their fourth consecutive win as they travel to the 37,587-capacity Stade Geoffroy-Guichard to confront hosts Saint-Etienne.
Enyeama’s heroics has helped Lille to three straight wins in a row keeping two clean sheets in the process as the modest side hit a good run of form following erratic displays a couple of weeks ago. Lille’s recent wins has seen them clock 41 points after 29 matches which puts them in the 8th position on the Ligue 1 table. The modest French club, however, face a difficult task against a Saint Etienne side who are no push-over themselves.
8 points currently separate the two teams with Saint Etienne on 49 points which put them in the 5th place on the table – three steps ahead of Lille on the log. The host, are also unbeaten in their last two games and will be looking to make home advantage count against visiting Lille to further move up the ladder in their pursuit of a UEFA Europa League slot which comes by finishing in the fourth place at the end of the season.
With this scenario, Enyeama will no doubt have his hands full trying to contain the host team’s attack that will be led by Gradel and Erdinct who currently has 8 and 6 goals to their credits respectively.
