Africa Independent Television (AIT) has stopped an online poll in which the All Progressives Congress (APC) candidate, General Muhammadu Buhari was defeating the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) candidate, Goodluck Jonathan.
Earlier on Tuesday, a screenshot of the poll was published and at that time it showed that Buhari well ahead of Jonathan and all other presidential candidate by over 75%.
Despite a sponsored documentary against him that was being repeatedly shown on AIT stations across Nigeria, and online, as the day wore on, the poll saw Buhari’s lead rise to 79%. The poll was then swiftly taken down, and AIT replaced the page with a claim that the page was “under maintenance.”
AIT is founder and owner is a member of President Jonathan’s party.
